How do I get a job that pays a lot?
I am not so young anymore, but I am (was) doing a lot of different things the last few years without a clear vison or structure and it did not pay very well (actually it paid very very bad).
So I am getting older, get paid badly and without structure or vison.
So what can I still do (or not do) to find a better paying occupation or job?
Regards,
Ricardo
Dear Ricardo:
First of all it would be good to take responsibility for your past working life.
Maybe work was not your priority or maybe your focus was not at your working life.
Has your working life been the only area with less vision and structure?
Coming in the present time, what would you like your working life to be? It would be good to set clear intentions, have a vision and pay attention to your feelings about work.
Next, find out what is blocking you.
If you strongly believe age is hindering factor in finding a better paying job, then it will.
It would help you to let go of this belief.
Another aspect is to find out how badly you want a better paying job and how much priority and effort this better paying job you would want to give it.
Last but not least: find out how much you actually care about your job; the actual activities of your job. If you engage in a job that you really care about, chances are you will deliver good to excellent value. Excellent value usually translates in a better reward!
